Ashton Priest

My name is Ash, and I have been an artist for as long as I can remember. Starting with dinosaurs, I seem to have always had an obsession with the beastly, the monstrous, and the strange. As I got older, my love for monsters, and monster-adjacent, things grew—and so did my connection with why. Raised semi-Christian, not only did I have a love for monsters and anything spooky, but I was raised with a religious trauma that blossomed into an obsession with the macabre, the abominable, and the existential. My art reflects this—deeply founded in a fascination for how to twist form into something abstract and nightmarish. However, despite my love for eldritch concepts, my skills shine in more conventional spaces, as well. From nature/animal photography to independent filmmaking, and from animation to character illustration—my means of creativity are without limit, and it is my personal belief that we are all conduits of creativity in each of our own ways.
